Robert Koolstra, founder of the Meer Bach foundation, created a reconstruction of Bach's Markus Passion in 2017 and will start this year with the integral performance of all his harpsichord works at special locations in the Groningen countryside. Accompaniment by an international orchestra of Baroque specialists. They play on old instruments from Bach's time.

Bwv 1060 is the oldest concerto for 2 melody instruments, probably oboe and violin, written around 1730 . Bwv 1062 is also an arrangement of another concerto, namely the famous Concerto for 2 Violins in D minor (BWV 1043), which comes from the time when Bach was working in Köthen. The concerto Bwv 1061 is originally a work for 2 solo harpsichords without an orchestra. The role of the later added orchestra is limited with the harpsichord lines doubling here and there. The whole is interspersed with solos by Hanneke Wierenga (baroque violin) and Nika Zlataric (baroque cello). Silently between concerts we will listen to the world-famous Prelude from the first cello suite and the heartwarming Allemande from Bach's second violin partita.
