The Wadden Bird Festival 2023 will take place on May 6 & 7 in De Cocksdorp on Texel. The whole weekend is dedicated to bird watching for a bird charity. There are numerous activities such as many birdtours, several manned bird-watching points and a binocular show. On Saturday, there is an extensive Birdfair. The market features all the organizations that have something to do with birds, bird research or the hobby of birdwatching. There are also several bird artists. In addition, the Texel Big Day is also organized. 24 hours of bird watching by bike for the good bird charity of 2023, the Sandwich Tern and the Eurasian Oystercatcher. One tries to see as many bird species as possible within the 24 hours, but leading up to the big day, the teams also raise a lot of money for charity. Anyone can participate, as beginning birders are well guided to make it a fun and successful day! A weekend full of birding fun, where all nature lovers can meet.
