The beautiful, small-scale nature campsite of Landgoed Wilgenheerd is idyllically situated. An excellent base for discovering the beautiful Groninger Hogeland. Tranquil, lots of space, new sanitary facilities ,13 pitches of which 2 are glampingfacilities.

On the Hogeland of Groningen land and sea meet each other. In this wide waddencoast area you will find this unique and hospitable guest address in a beautiful spot. Everything is possible on Landgoed Wilgeheerd; go walking, take a bike or boat to discover the varied old mound landscape, visit Groningen or Dokkum, the impressive Unesco Wadden Sea World heritage Site, enjoy bird watching in the Lauwersmeer National Park or a day at Schiermonnikoog. The nature campsite has 11 spacious pitches with electricity for campers with their own tent, small caravan (up to 4.5 m excluding the drawbar) or camper van (up to 5 m). In addition, two beautiful glamping facilities; a comfortable safari tent (2-4p) and a Glamping Tipi with outdoor kitchen (2p). There is always room for passing walkers and cyclists. The sanitary facilities are new, clean and fresh. We have lots of information about the area and the Hogeland has a vibrant cultural calendar full of small-scale exhibitions, concerts and local food stalls & markets. Be welcome for a shorter or longer stay at our campsite, enjoy the tranquility to clear your head and recharge your batteries!

We hebben veel bloemenweides, gebruiken alleen biologische middelen en hebben natuurlijke insectenhotels.
We hebben waterbesparende douches, heatpipes en zonneboilers voor verwarming van water. In het sanitair gebouw staan aanwijzingen om mensen te herinneren aan 5 minuten douchen.
De zonnepanelen , heatpipes en zonneboilers zorgen dat we voor een groot deel zelfvoorzienend zijn.
We gebruiken ecologische en biologische schoonmaakmiddelen, wasmiddelen en afwasmiddelen. Scheiden afval, duurzaam renoveren en hergebruik materialen daarbij.
Alle investeringen gebeuren duurzaam, met hergebruik van materialen waar het kan en door lokale vakmensen. Onze boodschappen voor onszelf en voor onze gasten dien we lokaal, zoveelmogelijk direct van de boer en van ambachtelijke winkels om ons heen.
Wij zorgen voor rust, ruimte en gastvrijheid. Gasten kunnen op verhaal komen en we bieden op ons landgoed mooie plekjes aan om van te genieten.
We werken op ons landgoed samen met Binnenwerk. Dit is een club mensen met afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt, begeleid door Staatbosbeheer, voor het onderhoud van ons landgoed. We bieden ze gastvrijheid, werken mee, een lunch en meer.
