Hop on a SUP, grab a canoe, or discover a new water sport. During Water Sports Day 'Meer op het Amstelmeer', the new boating routes are officially opened with a festive ceremony, and the Amstelmeer is filled with free water fun.

Wind in your hair. Water under your board. And new routes to discover for yourself. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Amstelmeer will be all about watersports, being outdoors, and exercising together.
During Watersports Day 'Meer op het Amstelmeer', two new SUP, canoe, and kayak routes will be officially opened: the route between Den Oever and De Haukes, and the route from Van Ewijcksluis to Anna Paulowna. From the harbor at Watersportvereniging Amstelmeer and around the new canoe jetty in Van Ewijcksluis, you can discover a variety of activities on and around the water.
Try a SUP or canoe for free, paddle a section of the new route, join a sloop rowing clinic, or take a windsurfing lesson. There are also water games, sailing activities, and other fun events around the harbor. Bring your own equipment or use the free canoes and SUP boards available. Registration is required for some activities, as spots are limited.
A sporty day for residents, water sports enthusiasts, and curious beginners. Of course, you are also welcome to just come and watch.
