The Beatles in Blokker on Tour is a nostalgic and musical performance looking back at the historic performances of The Beatles in Blokker, West Friesland, in 1964. The show reflects on the unique question of how the world-famous band ended up in Blokker of all places for the only performances The Beatles ever gave in the Netherlands.
The North Holland band Bolistic Smoke opens the evening with the same setlist of eight songs that The Beatles played in Blokker in 1964. Following this, the documentary The Beatles and the Miracle of Blokker will be screened and discussed on a large screen with Beatles expert Gert Elzinga. After the intermission, Bolistic Smoke will perform an extensive selection of Beatles classics, including Hello, Goodbye , Penny Lane , Let It Be , and Hey Jude . The evening is hosted by NH journalist Michiel Baas.
The performance offers a combination of live music, historical footage, nostalgia, and special stories about a unique moment in Dutch music history.
The performance takes place in the theater hall of the Cultuurschuur Wieringerwerf on December 17, 2026, and starts at 8:30 PM. Admission is €20 per person.
