Join us on a wander through the beautiful Zwanenwater. The rangers will take you into the area, off the beaten path, through the most beautiful dune valleys within Het Zwanenwater. They will tell you everything you want to know about the unique flora and fauna that the area is rich in. You will walk approximately 12 km and start at 10:30 AM; you will be back at the starting point around 4:00 PM.
A wander along both dune lakes, through sheltered dune valleys, with beautiful views and unique nature. That is what awaits you during this walk of over 5 hours.
You will come to places you would never visit from the permitted walking routes in the area. You will walk through the dune area and listen to the birds of spring. The rangers can tell you all about the many plant and animal species that Het Zwanenwater is home to. Catch a glimpse of the North Sea over the dune tops and let yourself be surprised by the landscape.
Practical information:
- Ticket price includes admission to the Het Zwanenwater nature reserve;
- When registering, please enter your mobile number so that we can reach you if necessary;
- Ensure you have good walking shoes, a daypack, and clothing suitable for the weather;
- Bring your own drinks and a sandwich for the road. Lunch is not included;
- Only for people with good walking fitness;
- Don't forget your binoculars;
- Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed;
