New York in the 1930s. The cheerful and brave Annie lives with a group of orphans in the orphanage. Life there is far from always easy. The children have to work hard, and Miss Hannigan, the head of the orphanage, is strict and rather unkind. Yet Annie does not let herself be discouraged easily. She continues to believe that her real parents will one day return to pick her up. Every night she dreams of what it will be like when she is finally with her family again. One day, Annie gets a special opportunity. The wealthy businessman Oliver Warbucks is looking for a child to come live at his home for a week and spend Christmas with him. Annie is chosen and finds herself in a world she does not know at all. In the enormous house, she meets Warbucks, his loyal butler, and his friendly staff...
