Faster, more beautiful, clearer

Sunday, April 12, 2026, marks the start of the Den Helder Half Marathon . This running event takes you past the city's most beautiful spots: from Willemsoord to the Donkere Duinen, along the Zeedijk, and back again. The revamped route showcases Den Helder at its best.

Choose your distance: 4, 10 or 21.1 kilometers

The start and finish are at Willemsoord, amidst loud cheers from the crowd. You'll run through the city, along the water, and over the dike.

Run together: three-person relay

Want to run the half marathon, but prefer to split it up? Then choose the relay: three runners, 6-7-8 kilometers. Relay points are at Huisduinen and Duinoord. You start together, you finish together.
