Tess Merlot presents an atmospheric French chanson program in which vocals, piano, and accordion come together. During the concert, both original songs and well-known chansons take center stage, with influences from the repertoire of Édith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Carla Bruni, and Julien Clerc, among others.
With her performances, Tess Merlot manages to bring out the human emotions and stories behind the French folk song. The program alternates subdued and vulnerable chansons with powerful and compelling songs. Themes such as love, happiness, sorrow, and life take center stage.
During this concert, Tess Merlot is accompanied by Guillaume Marcenac on piano and Lars Visscher on accordion. Together, they create a musical performance in which French atmosphere, emotion, and energy take center stage.
The concert takes place on January 17, 2027, in the Lucaskerk in Winkel and lasts from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Admission is €20 per person.
