Kamerkoor Zestien Wad was founded in 2001 on Vlieland as a project choir in which experienced amateur singers from all over the Netherlands join forces for one or two projects per year.
The choir usually chooses classical works, but sometimes it makes a foray into light music, including together with the Maas Marimba Trio.
Conductor since the foundation, Wim van Herk is not only a very experienced choir and orchestra conductor and pianist, but he also enjoys playing, conducting, and arranging light music.
With this nostalgic musical look back at 25 years of singing together, the singers offer music lovers of all ages recognition, emotion, and pleasure.
You will hear works by, among others, Gjeilo, Barber, Poulenc, and Pärt.
