Lezing Vrijmetselaarsloge Willem Frederik Karel | Leonard Jonkers

Den Helder

What can freethinking bring us today? Leonard Jonkers takes you on a journey.

What does freedom mean in a time of growing polarization? Leonard Jonkers, chairman of the national Freemasonry, challenges you to consider this. During this lecture, he will guide you through the philosophy of Freemasonry. Be inspired by centuries-old insights that prove surprisingly relevant.

Connection in a divided world

Tolerance, freethinking, Spinoza—it all comes up. Jonkers shows how these values can help us today. Not vague, but down-to-earth and clear. Because freedom requires courage, as the Greek thinker Thucydides once said. And that's precisely what makes this evening so relevant.

200 years of Den Helder history

The Willem Frederik Karel Lodge is celebrating its 200th anniversary. A special milestone, connected to stories of courage and resistance. During the war, the lodge was banned but revived after the liberation. Many artifacts and documents have been preserved – a living testament to freedom through the centuries.
