The environment in which the Navy operates is greatly changed throughout the years. In the heydays of the Golden Century the Navy faced different challenges than they do today. What remains however, is the way the Navy excels at innovating the process of ship-building, communication and weapon technologies. The interactive exhibit ''Navy in the spotlight'' sheds some light on the exceptional achievements of Admiral De Ruyter and highlights the development of the Submarine division.
