Kolhorn is one of the most beautiful villages in North Holland. It was once a fishing village, which was located on the Zuiderzee. Due to the various land reclamations, it now lies in the middle of the North Holland landscape. However, the appearance of a fishing village has remained and enjoys “Protected Village View”. You will be impressed by the beautifully restored houses and buildings, of which the church is the center.
All this can be admired during the annual night markets. Two hundred stalls and stands with a richly varied assortment are set up along the monumental Westfriese Omringdijk, the Nieuwe Streek and around the church. The market and the oldest part of the village are beautifully lit on these evenings and are more than worth a visit!
