From April 15 to May 4, 2026, experience spring at its finest: step aboard the nostalgic steam tram and ride straight through the blooming bulb fields between Hoorn and Medemblik.

Experience the classic in a new guise

This spring, the historic steam tram transforms into the unique Tulip Tram. The route takes you past vast fields full of tulips in all the colors of the rainbow – a true spectacle between Benningbroek and Twisk. At the stations in Hoorn and Wognum, you step into a world of flowers: grower Laan transforms them into atmospheric Tulip Stations.

Unique stopovers for the most beautiful views

On the return journey from Medemblik to Hoorn, the tram stops at the most beautiful spots, so you can enjoy them for extra long – and take the perfect photo.

A journey through time full of scent and color

Let yourself be transported through the past in an original steam tram from 1887. This ride through the famous historic triangle of Hoorn – Medemblik – Enkhuizen is a feast for the senses. Along the way, you will discover the tastiest museum in the Netherlands, admire authentic station buildings, and can transfer to the museum ship heading towards the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen.
