A large part of nature on Texel is located in the Duinen van Texel National Park. The area covers the entire dune area of Texel including the forest. This yurt is located between the dunes on the Doodsmansduin dune campsite, in the southern tip of the island. With cycling and hiking trails in the immediate area, it is a great base to discover Texel. Nature at the southern tip of the island is unspoilt and rugged. From your yurt you cycle within 10 minutes - through the dune area - to the wide North Sea beach. South of Loodsmansduin you will find the jungle-like dune area De Geul and below that the Horsmeertjes. Via the Horsmeertjes you will reach the extensive sandbank De Hors. Under the influence of wind and sea new dunes are constantly being created here. Various beautiful hiking trails run through these areas. The atmospheric shed village of Den Hoorn is 700 meters from your yurt.
