On the Hogeland in Groningen you can spend your holiday in an attractive little old church. The white church in Zijldijk was built in 1886. Until 2009 there were church services. After that it was used as a care church. In 2020, the church has been made suitable as a holiday church for two people.
The holiday church is fully equipped. There is a cozy sitting area made of scaffolding wood. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. A dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle and filter coffee maker are available.
There is also coffee, sugar, milk powder, salt, oil, detergent, dishwasher tablets, etc. and there are sufficient hand, tea and dish towels.
The panoramic view from the long kitchen table is unique. The bathroom has a rain shower, extra toilet and underfloor heating. There are also plenty of towels and washcloths here. In the utility room there is a washing machine that you can use.
The spacious bed of 1.80 x 2.10 is on a small elevation in the church. The bed is already made for you with 2 duvets. The luxury of a box spring with comfortable bedding will enhance the holiday feeling. Sleeping in a church is a special experience.
The holiday church is an excellent place to relax. There is a large screen that shows digital TV. There are books, magazines, games and leaflets on what to do in the area.
