De Swanneblom swimming pond is a unique natural bathing site surrounded by a beautiful landscape of salt marsh ridges, mounds and mound villages in the municipality of Waadhoeke. The site is designed to blend into the scenery.
The shell-paved cycle track and footpath and grassy bridleway that lead to the pond make it possible to enjoy the Frisian countryside without being disturbed by traffic. The sloping banks around the pond mirror the contours of the mounds and salt marsh ridges in the wider landscape. The grassy banks are a lovely place to enjoy the sun while the children have fun playing on the sand and swimming in the cordoned-off section of the pond.
