The most beautiful boarding point of the Den Helder canoe route is at Aquacentrum Den Helder, near the most exciting forts. From the Aqua Center you can quickly sail to the surrounding forts. But even if you want to make a long trip, for example to the Donkere Duinen or to Julianadorp, that is quite possible.

Renting a real Marine canoe for the canoe routes is no problem at Aquacentrum Den Helder. The canoeing season runs from April 1 to September 30. Aquacentrum Den Helder has 6 two-person canoes and 2 one-person canoes, so you can also come canoeing with odd numbers.

Canoe rental prices are in accordance with the prices of other providers on the Den Helder canoe route. A combination of swimming and canoeing is of course also possible. And if the catering industry is open, you can have something to eat and drink afterwards if you want.

Route maps, a waterproof barrel and necessary materials such as life jackets are included in the rental price. If you have a swimming diploma, a life jacket is not mandatory, but you can always wear a life jacket if you wish.

We will make a copy of your ID and ask you to pay a deposit of 20 euros in cash. You will receive the deposit back when you return the undamaged rented materials and if you return on time. Don't worry, we won't make a fuss if you're back fifteen minutes late.

You can reserve a canoe online or reserve it by telephone. If you report to reception fifteen minutes before the start, someone will come with you to pick up the canoe(s).
