MEETING BETWEEN THE CLOUDS

In the business accommodation is room for 4 to 16 people in 4 cosy houses under the large roof of an attractive ‘barn’. In the middle, you’ll find a great communal area that is perfect for meetings, brainstorming and training sessions. If you need to work in groups, then this can be done in the 4 separate houses. Every house has a seating area where you can work in peace.

There is, of course, free Wi-Fi available everywhere, and meeting facilities such as flip-charts and beamers are provided. The communal area of the business accommodation has a large kitchen where you can all cook together at the end of the day. Because what could be better after a day of brainstorming than cooking and eating with your colleagues? Naturally, we also have contacts with different regional cooks who can supply tasty meals.

BUSINESS ACCOMMODATION UP TO 16 PEOPLE

All the houses of the business accommodation have two bedrooms: in total there are 8 separate bedrooms, each with a washbasin. Each of the houses has its own bathroom; and each house has 2 toilets, a kitchen and a cosy seating area. The houses have huge windows looking out on the panoramic view so you can relax between work sessions. In total there are 16 single beds in the 4 houses. Brainstorming session

Are you looking for someone who can professionally supervise your brainstorming session (or part of it)? Does it make sense to you to use innovative techniques and a fresh approach from outside when taking a look at your challenge? Minke Schouten is a professional supervisor of brainstorming and innovation sessions and is a certified facilitator at Gave Dingen Doen.

By using creative techniques and the ‘fast pitch’ method, a whole host of new ideas can be generated by the group in a short space of time. Converging or, in other words, going back to basics and turning ideas into concepts, is something else Minke can help with.

Gave Dingen Doen is a large network of professionals and, if desired, Minke can easily use this network to get colleagues involved in workshops on ‘Gamification’, ‘Working out a Business Canvas Model’, ‘The Lean Startup’, ‘Design thinking’, ‘Storytelling’, ‘Discovering Why you Play Seriously with Lego’ etc. In fact anything your business or organisation might find useful! Walks through the mudflats

World heritage site the Wadden Sea is the spot where you can get your whole team involved in a challenge, while gathering fresh inspiration at the same time. A walk through the mudflats really is an experience that you must have had at least once. And by that we don’t mean just a simple walk. You walk along the bottom of the sea, through mud flats and water; you are challenged by the elements; and on the way you see birds, sometimes seals and the most incredible skies full of clouds.

Of course, you have to make sure that you all get to the other side in time, and sometimes you will be wading through waist-high water. And once it’s over, you’ll all get together to wash the mud off your shoes and legs … what better way to create team spirit! We can organise an exclusive trip for you with the best mudflat guide who will tell you everything about this wonderfully beautiful world heritage.

Outdoor activities in Nationaal Park Lauwersmeer

We can also organise a variety of activities in the Lauwersmeer National Park. Mountain biking, stepping, GPS tours, adventurous walks with the forest ranger, sailing (this is also possible on the mudflats) or you can all cycle the famous Rondje Lauwersmeer (45 km). And if you fancy a really fun day out in between sessions, then rent a few Tuktuk’s and enjoy a real experience with the relaxing 1 cylinder diesel cars.

Cookingworkshops

Very nice to do together is the cooking workshop of Kookstudio@Home. Cooking together, tasting and drinking a glass of wine. Special for it Dreamlân Erna has made a biological and vegetarian menu, but there are also other possibilities. Everything can be done in the nice communal area, so you don’t have to go away for food.

Enhancing biodiversity

Op it Dreamlân is men al jaren bezig om het natuurlijk beheer van het terrein te optimaliseren. Voor insecten, vlinders en weidevogels. Jaar in jaar uit zijn ze het terrein verder aan het verschralen. Hiermee komt er steeds meer kruidenrijker grasland, en ook steeds meer wilde bloemen.
Sustainable water use

Gasten worden aangemoedigd om spaarzaam met water om te gaan, door het gebruik van waterbesparende douchekoppen en toiletten. Daarnaast is er een waterpomp voor grondwater in de waterspeelplaats geïnstalleerd.
Renewable energy sources

Er zijn zonnepanelen voor elektriciteit en zonnecollectoren voor het warme water. De bedrijfsauto is volledig elektrisch en wordt zo veel mogelijk opgeladen als de zon schijnt. Voor de vakantiewoningen zijn er hybride warmtepompen, waarmee ongeveer 80% van de warmte duurzaam kan worden opgewekt.
Material usage

Uitgangspunt op it Dreamlân is zo veel mogelijk zero waste te doen. Voor de schoonmaak worden alleen biologisch afbreekbare schoonmaakmiddelen gebruikt en schoonmaakflessen worden opnieuw gevuld met schoonmaakpoeder, aangevuld met water. De was wordt gedaan met wasstrips en voor alle producten die gebruikt worden is gezocht naar plasticvrije alternatieven. Veel van de materialen op het terrein zijn hergebruikt.
Money as a means to create social and ecological value

Investeringen van it Dreamlân zijn altijd gericht op natuurlijke en duurzame verrijking van het terrein: zonnepanelen, warmtepompen, streekspecifieke bloemzaden en beplanting om de streekeigen biodiversiteit te behouden, cradle to cradle ecolodges en een elektrische auto, maar ook door de aanschaf van de Story Station (zie onder) waarmee een duurzame impact wordt gemaakt.
Strengthening health and well-being

Alles op it Dreamlân draait om inspiratie, tijd maken voor elkaar en genieten van de natuur. Kinderen bouwen zelf aan boomhutten, er is een natuurlijke waterspeelplaats en veel plek en materiaal om de natuur en het waterleven te ontdekken.
Strengthening society and culture

Het beleid van it Dreamlân is gericht op inclusiviteit: iedereen is welkom. De Story Station is gratis beschikbaar voor vakanties voor mensen uit de kunst-en cultuursector en voor éénoudergezinnen die anders niet met vakantie kunnen (via de Vakantiebank). Regelmatig zijn er culturele activiteiten en zomers zijn er wekelijks laagdrempelige aanschuifmaaltijden, gekookt door Syrische cateraars.

Notes accessibility OV: From Leeuwarden and Groningen, take the train to Buitenpost. Take bus 63 to Dokkum. Get off at the Pompsterhoek stop. From here it is a short 10-minute walk: first walk along Soensterdijk, then after about 200 metres turn right onto the track. At the end of this track, you will find the driveway to it Dreamlân on the right.
