Take a look

The Waarlandsmolen is an octagonal inner mill, built in 1530. The mill came out of operation in the early 1950s. The auger, auger wheel and hammer were removed. In 1966 the mill was completely restored and the spindle and upper disc barrel were subsequently removed from the mill. These have been transferred to the Grote mill of Schellinkhout. The mill was inhabited from 1855 to 2008. The mill has been owned by the De Westfriese Mills Foundation for several years. From 2012 to May 2014 there was a major restoration. The mill was equipped with, among other things, a new king's spindle and a new thatched roof. The various rooms have been returned to their original condition as much as possible, including in terms of paint structure. Molenhuijs Molenhuijs is a permanent exhibition about the battle against water through the ages. There is a changing exhibition every season.
