The Bedijkte Boezem is a piece of grassland located in the West Frisian village of Winkel. Here young birds are spared by not mowing before mid-June. The area is too small and buildings are too close to really satisfy the many meadow birds. In the ponds there are year-round water birds such as spoonbill, teal, white hole and snipe for migrating.
