Strandopgang de Zandloper

Julianadorp

Sun, sea and space: the northernmost beach of Julianadorp awaits you

Take a look

Looking for a quiet yet easily accessible beach? Head to Zandloper. This is the northernmost beach entrance in Julianadorp aan Zee. From there, you can walk straight onto the wide beach, where the sea is always close by.

Enjoy convenience and amenities

The beach is clean, safe, and well-maintained. You'll find a first aid station, a lifeguard, and the Zee van Tijd beach pavilion. The beach has a Blue Flag, an international quality mark. Free parking is available at the corner of Zanddijk and Noorder Sandt. Wheelchair access is also available.

Easily accessible by bus or bicycle

In the summer, take the Kustbus 151 from Den Helder station and get off at the beach entrance. Or cycle: it's only a short distance from Julianadorp. Dogs are allowed off-leash before 10:00 AM and after 7:00 PM. Horses are also welcome in the early morning or evening.

Known and loved by many

The famous Ship on the Beach pavilion once stood here. After a fire, a new pavilion was built, which has since become a popular spot for lunch or drinks with a sea view. Nearby, you'll find plenty of campsites and bungalow parks.
