Boswachterspad Hollumerduinen en Lange Duinen

This rangerpath starts at the parkinglot at the Oranjeweg, opposite of the lighthouse in Hollum. If you climb the lighthouse, you will have a great view over the dunes and the sea. From here you will follow the yellow poles to guide you at this 8.8 km trail.

In the dunes you will find a great variaty of vegetation. The Reed Orchid is purple in its summer bloomingperiod. Deers, Hereford cattle and Soay sheeps grazing in the dunes. The best chance to meet these is in the early morning or late evening.

A part of this hike is being swolled by the sea. So the trial continues over the beach where you can smell the sea and here the waves.

More information from this national park is to find at the visitorscentre in Nes. There you will find an auditorium specially decorated with all what you can come across at this island.
This trail is mostly across unpaved paths and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Dogs are allowed when on a leash. Along the hike are several places to sit and rest. At the beach, dogs are allowed to walk freely.
