De Aap is the most active youth association in the municipality of Hollands Kroon. It started around 1940 in an old shack where young people went after church to do a beer. Nowadays the Monkey functions as a place of entertainment that focuses on starting party animals. De Aap offers a safe environment where young people can get acquainted with going out in a responsible way. This does not mean that you will only encounter 16-year-olds in the Aap, because you will not find the conviviality there easily at other places of entertainment. That is why the Monkey has a large audience of 16 to 25 years!
