Until 1935, De Oude Remise was used as the shed of the State Railways. When the building was built in 1877, there was room for eight locomotives.

Until 1935, De Oude Remise was used as the shed of the State Railways. When the building was built in 1877, there was room for eight locomotives. Later the depot was expanded and could accommodate as many as twelve locomotives. From 1948 to 1980 the depot was no longer used by the railways, but by the regional transport company GADO. Instead of locomotives, there were buses for years. Still later, until 1998, the bulk of the property was used to store grain.
