New campervan route launched by flower bulb growers. Four flower bulb and tuber growers are launching a new route for campervans in the Kop van Noord-Holland and West Friesland regions. This has created a unique collaboration that offers campervans from around the world the opportunity to spend a midweek or week-long stay with bulb and tuber growers. Campers have never been closer to the flower bulb fields.
Camping among the tulips
The route starts at Camperplaats de Tulpentuin (Slootdorp) near Siem and Sandra Munster's tulip nursery. Sandra is happy to give guests tours of the nursery, and when the fields are in bloom, she's happy for you to take a walk right past the blooming tulips.
Then, head towards Texel, to the De Razende Bol farm campsite (De Koog). Next to the campsite, there's also a food forest and a farm shop with Texel products and flower bulbs.
Continue your journey to Camping Duinzoomhoeve (Julianadorp), a farm campsite located on the Romar family's flower bulb farm. Enjoy added luxury with private sanitary facilities and socialize in the recreation room. Voted one of the ANWB's top 5 campsites in the Netherlands in 2025.
Next stop is the Molen de Hoop ('t Zand) camper site, nestled in the heart of the flower bulb region of North Holland North. It's a wonderful starting point for a cycling route. If you'd like to explore, definitely take the Stolpenroute!
The route ends at Camping Boven het Maaiveld (Hoogwoud), nestled in the heart of the West Friesland countryside. Surrounded by numerous tulip fields, you'll enjoy the natural surroundings with Kees and Janneke, or as they put it: camping for birds of paradise!
Opening hours and facilities
The camper sites along the flower bulb route are all open from mid-April to November 1st, while De Tulpentuin welcomes campers year-round. All camper sites offer excellent facilities, including water, electricity, showers, toilets, Wi-Fi, and wastewater disposal points. The growers warmly welcome guests along the flower bulb route to their farm and tell them all about their products: flower bulbs and tubers. During their stay with the bulb growers, guests will discover that every season is different. In spring, there are the flowering bulb fields, in summer the harvest period with bulb peeling in the barns, and in autumn, the planting of the bulbs in the fields. The bulb growers live with the seasons and are happy to share their experiences with their guests.
