Take a look

Timpelsteed farm is located on almost 60 hectares of land. The company grows organic vegetables such as seed onions, carrots and pumpkins on them. The 'resting' crop grass/clover is partly sold to organic livestock farmers. They also have a greenhouse for summer vegetables. Recently, they have also started growing baking wheat for the Pompeblêd sandwiches of food truck and catering company LekkereTrek. Miller Cees Noteboom of flour mill 't Lam in Woudsend (see Regional Summer Cycle Route Rondje Friese meren) grinds the wheat and baker Bas van Esch bakes these rolls from the flour. In addition to selling your own fruit and vegetables, you can contact Timpelsteed with all your questions and ideas about organic vegetable cultivation. You can also visit the vegetable garden and you can use the picnic tables freely.

Agricultural Collective Waadrâne
Timpelsteed is one of more than 145 members of Waadrâne, an Agricultural Collective that works in the northern coastal strip along the Wadden Sea to protect farmland birds such as the partridge, yellow wagtail and oystercatcher. These farmers are committed to the preservation of nature, landscape and biodiversity, and they work together with each other and with nature. Their main goal is to make North Friesland even more beautiful by preserving the flora and fauna.

Flax fields
In Engwierum, two large flax fields can also be seen at Timpelsteed during the summer months. The company grows the old crop that eventually becomes linen. Flax route 'Follow the Blue Line' therefore passes this company.

Salty organic Wadden potatoes
Timpelsteed also grows the organic salty Wadden potatoes. These potatoes are fertilized with seaweed, which improves the taste and growth. The potatoes, certified with the Waddengoud World Heritage Wadden Sea quality mark, are available through Greydanus in various supermarkets. Timpelsteed also sells the potatoes in its own farm shop.
