Palendorp Petten

If you are in Petten aan Zee you should definitely take a look at the monument Palendorp on the beach near the Bergeendstraat. This beautiful artwork consists of a 160 poles of six to twelve meters in length. The poles are in the form of ten houses and a church. It is a reminder of the old Petten, which was flooded by the sea a long time ago. A beautiful place to takes pictures during a sunset.

Zwanenwater

Behind the dunes, just south of Callantsoog lies the nature reserve "Zwanenwater". The landscape consists of dunes, plains, swamp, pine forest and two lakes surrounded with overgrowth. Through a trail, 2 or 4 ½ miles, gives the visitor an idea of the landscape and the variety of plants and birds. Dogs are not allowed. Members have free access. Non-members pay € 1.50 at the entrance (automatic). Children under 12 are free.

Beachcomber museum Callantsoog

Just behind the dunes and near the lively seaside town of Callantsoog you will find the small and cosy beachcomber- and art museum of Callantsoog. In addition to various unique beachcomber finds and beachcomber-art that you can admire, the little baby mermaid of Callantsoog has to be the most extraordinary discovery! Come along! You can combine your visit with a walk along the beach or through the nearby nature park de Zandpolder. Parking is free! on the car park next door.
