The start of this biketour is in the centre of Schiermonnikoog at the touristcentre (VVV). There you can rent a bike to ride along the nice sights as the Whalejaws, the statue of the small Munck and the litle
islandhouses at the Langestreek. Then you ride into the calm nature from the island. When you are a little bit higher upon the dunes you will have a magnificent view over the island and the Waddensea. During the ride you can visit the Bunkermuseum Schlei and the bunker Wassermann. There you can find all about the II worldwar and the position of Schiermonnikoog in that period. An other Sight during this route is

Then you ride along the lake Westerplas, back to the centre of Schiermonnikoog. Do you like bird watching? Then you can use the bird watchpoint at the lake, and look what special species you can spot.
When you have the last part of this bike ride, then take a break at this historic place, the Bank from Banck and take a rest. This bench is builded at the favorite spot from J.E. Banck. He owned this island between
1859 and 1878 and gave order to build this dike to protect the village against the rough sea.
