“I begin my three-day walking tour at Den Helder station. With a symphony of roaring engines in the background, I walk to the dike, where the sounds dissolve into a sea of space.”

This is the first leg of Paulien of Outdoor Inspiration's mini hike through the head of North Holland. This 15-kilometer hike takes you from Den Helder to Groote Keeten, near Callantsoog.

This route is part of the micro-adventures in North Holland by Paulien van der Werf of Outdoor Inspiration. Check out visitwadden.nl/paulieninnoordholland for the whole story and all the routes!
