The wild south

Experience the dynamic Wadden islands. In the unspoiled and wild nature at the southern tip of Texel new landscapes are still being created. On the Hors, a ‘walking’ sandbar now attached to Texel and with a view of the Razende Bol (Raging Ball), wind and sea continue to create new dunes.

And a bit more to the north you’ll find the marches of Mokbaai. Walk just a little farther and you’ll find yourself in the Geul. A short rest at the look-out post won’t disappoint with a bird’s-eye view of Texel's largest spoonbill colony.

Follow one of the many walking paths heading north where between Post 9 and 12 you’ll find yourself surrounded by heather in the Bollekamer where Exmoor ponies and Scottish highlanders are in charge of landscape management.
